Yokohama Citizen's Town Contracting Project Japan Awarded the Ishikawa Prize in 2014

"Efforts for Community Development through" Yokohama Citizen Town Contracting Business "" won the Japan Urban Planning Society Award 2014" Ishikawa Prize! !

Japan Society of Urban Planning Award

Awarded annually by the Japan Society of Urban Planning (Norihiro Nakai, Chairman: Professor, Tokyo Institute of Technology) is awarded annually for papers, plans, designs, and projects that have contributed to the advancement of academic and technological advances.
The awards include the Ishikawa Prize, which was established to commemorate the achievements of Hideaki Ishikawa (Hideaki), one of Japan's leading urbanTaisho and Showa eras.

About Ishikawa Prize

The Ishikawa Prize is intended for individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the progress and development of urban planning through their original or enlightening achievements in urban planning.
This is the second time that Yokohama has won the Ishikawa Prize since 1985.

Award details

(1) Performance Name: Initiatives for community development through the "Yokohama Citizen Town Public Contract Business"
(2) Winners: Yokohama-shi

Points of Evaluation and Reason for Award

・In addition to hardware that contributes to solving regional issues will be developed, local communities will be formed through planning, contests, and maintenance opportunities.

・After the hardware maintenance, the heartfelt operation and maintenance are performed based on the affection and attachment created by the residents themselves.

・Contribute to the reduction of business costs by maximizing local resources and regional power, and to improve the happiness of residents by realizing a participatory society.
