Urban Renewal Improvement Project

※The town development grant was integrated into the "Social Capital Maintenance Comprehensive Grant" established in April 2010, and became the "Urban Renewal Maintenance Planning Project".

1 Purpose

Improve the quality of life of local residents and revitalize the local economy and society by implementing unique urban development that takes advantage of the characteristics of the region's history, culture, natural environment, etc., and efficiently promoting the regeneration of cities nationwide. The purpose is to plan.

2 Overview

It is a grant issued to cover the cost of the business implemented based on the urban regeneration maintenance plan created by the municipalities.

(1) Preparation of Urban Renewal Improvement Plan

Based on the characteristics of the region, the municipalities will create an urban regeneration maintenance plan that describes the various projects to be implemented to achieve the goals and goals of town development.

(2) Grants

The government will issue a grant every fiscal year if the city regeneration maintenance plan created by the municipalities conforms to the basic policy on urban regeneration.

(3) Ex-post evaluation

At the end of the planning period, the municipalities will conduct an ex-post evaluation on the achievement status of the targets, check the results, etc., and announce them.

3 Subject to grant

Targets a wide range of facilities necessary for town development positioned in the Urban Renewal Improvement Plan

  • Roads, parks, sewers, rivers, multipurpose open spaces, scenic views facilities, regional exchange centers, land readjustment projects, urban redevelopment projects, etc.
  • Excellent rental housing for the elderly, specified excellent rental housing, public housing, residential area improvement projects, etc.
  • Projects based on municipal proposals
  • Software business, such as various surveys and social experiments

4 Calculation of grant amount

The grant amount is calculated using a certain calculation method
