About development of Fujigaoka station square district redevelopment basic plan (March, 2024)
In front of Fujigaoka Station, the functions of the aging Showa University Fujigaoka Hospital (opened in 1975) and the Fujigaoka Shopping Center (opened in 1967) can be updated. Taking advantage of the characteristics of the location, it is possible to create an integrated town in cooperation with adjacent station square facilities, parks, and shopping streets, and improve the attractiveness of the area.
In order to work on this new town development, the three parties of Yokohama City, Tokyu Corporation, and Showa University started studying in 2018, and through workshops and opinions solicitation based on higher-level plans such as the city planning master plan We have been working on planning.
