Fujigaoka station square district

We have formulated the "Fujigaoka station square district redevelopment basic plan". (March 2024)

　Around Fujigaoka Station, located in the northwestern part of Yokohama City, urban infrastructure facilities such as roads, parks, station squares, and other urban infrastructure facilities have been developed through a land readjustment project in 1966, and Showa University Fujigaoka Hospital, which plays a central role in community medicine. Has evolved to this day.
　While forming a town with a lush natural environment in addition to the enhancement of medical care, in recent years, half a century has passed since the town was formed, the aging of residents has progressed, and commercial vacant stores and facilities. The aging has begun to stand out, and various issues are becoming apparent.
　

　In front of Fujigaoka Station, the functions of Showa University Fujigaoka Hospital (opened in 1975) and Fujigaoka Shopping Center (opened in 1967), which are aging, can be renewed. It is hoped that the city will take advantage of the characteristics of being located in the city, and to improve the attractiveness of the area by making an integrated town in cooperation with neighboring station facilities, parks, and shopping streets.
　In order to work on this new town development, Yokohama City, Tokyu Corporation, and Showa University started studying in 2018, and workshops and opinions based on higher-level plans such as the city planning master plan. We have been working on planning through.
　We devise "Fujigaoka station square district redevelopment basic plan" as policy of town development of Fujigaoka Station north side area and aim at realization of town development that leads to improvement of local attractiveness while solving problem of town, aim and basic policy Has been set.
