Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Land Use Basic Plan
Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility is the site of the U.S. military facility returned in June 2015, and is a very valuable vast land in the Tokyo metropolitan area, which covers about 242 hectares, including private land, state-owned land, and municipal land. .
Since it has been used as a US military facility for about 70 years after the war, free land use has been restricted for many years, and urbanization has been suppressed. Therefore, in order to revitalize the suburb of Yokohama City and rebuild the lives of landowners as early as possible, we will develop urban infrastructure such as roads necessary for future land use and agricultural infrastructure, and promote town development quickly and systematically. is needed.
Regarding the land use of the former Kami-Seya communication facility, the promotion of urban agriculture and urban land use were achieved, taking advantage of the environmental characteristics and spacious farmland landscape, and the superiority of transportation access. By promoting land use, we aim to form a new activation base that contributes to the regeneration of suburban areas.
On March 31, 2020, we formulated the Former Kami-Seya Communication Facility Land Use Basic Plan, which summarizes the policies of town development and land use concepts.
