50th Anniversary of Urban Design

"What is urban design?"
"How does it lead to working and living in Yokohama?"
"How can I get involved in future town development?"
　
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, with the participation of citizens and companies, we will also participate.
Together, I would like to think about the city design of everyone.
Therefore, we learned about the efforts of urban design so far, thought about their roles, and so on.
We hold various events such as exhibitions and lectures as a plan to think about the future of the town. .
　
Whether you have never known urban design or want to deepen your understanding, please join us.

To date, Yokohama City has been implementing urban design administration while valuing important values for human beings.

We have been working on creating unique and attractive towns. In fiscal 2021, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of urban design.

It's time to think about future developments.

This "Future Conference" is not limited to the agency, but also with citizens, companies and various actors.

It was planned as a place to think about the future of urban design.

From the perspective of living, working, and playing in Yokohama, we also capture changes in society and the situation in Yokohama.

In addition to seizing new trends, we will consider the future of the city of Yokohama together.

This is a workshop that shares a wide range of ideas about individuality and attractive town development.

　1. Urban Design Inheritance and Innovation of Yokohama: Finding the universal value of the future
　2. Possibilities in the city center: Until now and from now on the opening of the port
　3. Open the sea: Increase the value of the sea through public-private partnerships
　4. Living with water, agriculture and greenery: Lifestyle like Yokohama
　5. Community Revitalization in Yokohama: Thinking about living together

● How to proceed/schedule
　At the Future Conference, multi-disciplinary study members will participate as individuals and bring in issues and ideas for creating a future city.
　Of the six sessions, in the first half, work will be performed in groups set for each study theme, and interim presentations will be made in the fourth session.
　After that, the details of the examination will be deepened by individuals or small groups (it is also possible to form regardless of the initial group division), and the final presentation will be made in the sixth session.
　At each meeting, lectures by mentors and guest lecturers will be given, and new perspectives will be added to each study.

２．Guided tour of the 50th Anniversary of Urban Design "Creating the Attractiveness of Yokohama Connecting to the Next Generation"　　　　※It's finished.

　　 In conjunction with the "Urban Design Yokohama" exhibition (March), a guided tour will be held to touch on the new charm of Yokohama.

３．Yocco18
　In cooperation with the Yocco18 Project (ID:@yokohama18ku), we introduce spots around Yokohama city from the viewpoint of urban design!

In order to form an urban space full of individuality and charm, the Urban Design Office will take advantage of the natural and historical characteristics of each region to secure pedestrian spaces, open spaces, open spaces, and create cityscapes. We are planning and coordinating.

We can download public information booklet about approach of city design from this.

We send approach of city design room or trivia of town development.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of urban design, we have created a logo to make it widely known to everyone.
In addition to using the font "Hamamei Dynasty" that expresses Yokohama's individuality, the colorful five-fold rings represent the overlap of urban design for each era and the cooperation between various people and community development activities.
