Opening 5 Urban Landscape Town Development Conference

Citizens of five cities (Hakodate, Niigata, Kobe, Nagasaki, Yokohama) designated as opening ports in 1858 will discuss the issues of landscape and town development, and interact with each other. For the purpose, it is held around each city every year. This year, we will hold the 30th “Open Port 5 Urban Landscape Town Development Conference 2024 Yokohama Tournament”.

This tournament will be held for three days from November 23 (Sat) to November 25 (Mon), with the theme of "Bridge to Mirai-Towns and People Shining with the Layer of the Ages".
On the first day, a symposium-style plenary session held by each city participant in one hall, and on the second day, a subcommittee where each city participant learns about the actual situation of landscape town development in Yokohama City through town walks and exchanges opinions. On the third day, the third day, the final day, we plan to hold a plenary session II in which each city participant will review the three days in one hall and take over to the next host city.

An application is required to participate in the plenary session I (free) and subcommittees (paid). In the case of a large number of applications, it will be a lottery.

　The host cities travel around each city every year, and the Yokohama Games will be held in 2024. Through keynote speeches and subcommittees (town walks, etc.), we will report, tour, and exchange opinions on the cityscape of the five open ports and the status of town development. . It is a valuable opportunity to interact with groups engaged in community development activities in other cities and those who are creating landscapes.
