Promoting Green Purchasing

Green Purchasing Initiatives in Yokohama City

In fiscal 2002, the City of Yokohama has established the "Basic Policy on Promotion of Green Purchasing in Yokohama City" and the "Procurement Policy for Promoting Green Purchasing in Yokohama City" and "Procurement Policy for Promoting Green Purchasing in Yokohama City" to promote the procurement of environmentally friendly goods and the provision of services.

When procuring goods, etc., when selecting, we will procure the “Specific Procurement Goods, etc.” specified below as much as possible.

Update information

We will promote green purchasing with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of our daily operations in Yokohama City and contributing to the formation of a society that enables sustainable development.
Yokohama City, which is also a major business operator and consumer in the city, promotes environmentally friendly procurement for the procurement of goods and services necessary for proceeding with business, such as citizens and businesses. It will encourage a shift in demand to environmentally friendly goods.
