Promoting Green Purchasing

Based on the enforcement of the Law Concerning the Promotion of Procurement of Environmental Goods by the Government of Japan (the so-called Green Purchasing Law), the Yokohama City has established the "Basic Policy on Promotion of Green Purchasing" and "Procurement Policy for Promoting Green Purchasing in Yokohama City" and "Procurement Policy for Promoting Green Purchasing the Promotion of Green Purchasing of Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Green Purchasing of Yokohama Green Purchasing" and the Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing Green Purchasing Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing" and the Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing Promotion of Yokohama City" and the Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing" since FY 2002

• April 1, 2024　 2024 Basic Policy on Promotion of Yokohama Green Purchasing (separate paragraph) We revised procurement policies to promote Yokohama-shi green purchasing, such as specific procurement items.
• November 24, 2023　An overview of the results of the Green Purchasing Implementation Survey in the first half of FY2023.
• July 3, 2023　 An overview of the results of the Green Purchasing Survey for FY2022 is posted.

We will promote green purchasing with the aim of reducing the environmental impact arising from the daily work of Yokohama City and contributing to the formation of a society where sustainable development is possible.
Yokohama City, which is also a major business operator and consumer in the city, promotes environmentally friendly procurement of goods and services necessary for conducting business. It will encourage a shift in demand for goods that are considered.
