Information on subsidies for promotion of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs)

In order to promote the spread of low-emission vehicles, etc., we will support some of the expenses required for purchasing fuel cell vehicles (FCVs).

Application period

Until Friday, March 14, 2025

※If the supplementary budget (5,000,000 yen) is reached, the application will be closed before the deadline.

Subsidized persons

Corporations that are located in Yokohama City and purchase FCVs (excluding national, independent administrative agencies, local governments and local independent administrative corporations, and corporations that mainly engage in the business of selling automobiles) An individual or sole proprietor who is an individual or a sole proprietor on the vehicle inspection certificate.

※In addition to the above, the requirements described in the outline must be met.

Vehicles subject to assistance

Vehicles that have begun subsidy projects (*) on or after April 1, 2024 and have never applied for a subsidy in the past.

※The start date of the subsidy project is the earliest of the following.
①Vehicle registration date
②Delivery date of the vehicle
③Date on which payment of purchase price payment or completion of contract procedures (including lease contracts) on which the full payment was secured

Vehicles subject to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Clean Energy Vehicle Introduction Promotion Subsidy".

Up to 250,000 yen per unit

※　The subsidy grant amount shall be the lower of the subsidy grant application amount, the amount obtained by subtracting the total grant amount of subsidies in the country and Kanagawa Prefecture from the subsidized expenses, or the upper limit of the subsidy.

Precautions

Vehicles that have been introduced in response to the FCV introduction subsidy cannot be disposed of (sale, disposal, transfer, etc.) or relocate the base of use outside Yokohama City for four years after the introduction.
