Until hamawing is made
Hamawing (Yokohama Wind Power Plant) was completed at Mizuho Wharf at Yokohama Port after five years from the start of the concept of windmill construction. As a rare "urban windmill" in Japan, you can see it from the Minatomirai district, a place for many citizens to relax. At that time, there were still no domestic 2 megawatt-class windmills, so Denmark's current Vestas was selected, the tower was Korea, the blade was China, and Naselle was manufactured in Denmark, and then across the sea. Has been transported to Yokohama Port in Japan.

Construction of a wind power plant
1.Construction site
The construction site of the wind farm is Mizuho Wharf in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama. This place is located just in the center of the inner port of Yokohama Port, and is very visible from the Minato Mirai district, which attracts about 80 million people annually.
2.Construction commenced (October 2006)
The foundation work on site has begun. The photo shows a pile driving.
3.Foundation work (November 2006)
The amount of concrete used for this foundation is about 530 cubic meters. A total of 106 ready-mixed concrete trucks (concrete mixer trucks) were transported and casted.
4.Landed Tower (December 2006)
The tower was transported by boat from Korea, drained (unloaded) at Suzushige Wharf, and transported to the construction site by land.
5.Tower assembly (January 10, 2007)
The tower is divided into three parts, and after attaching a designed sticker, assembled in order from below. The height of the tower is 18 meters from the bottom (1st stage), 29 meters from the middle (2nd stage), and 29 meters from the top (3rd stage) and weighs 164 tons in total.
6.Installation of Nacel (January 11, 2007)
After installing the top (third stage) tower, we installed a 68-ton nacel. At that time, there were only two cranes used to assemble windmills, a German 800-ton crane truck with only two in the world.
7.Blade assembly (January 23, 2007)
The three blades and hubs (the center of the feathers) are ground-assembled (assembled on the ground), then lifted and fixed to Nacel. This situation was also open to the public.
8.Completed assembly (January 23, 2007)
All assembly is completed, and work such as construction of electrical equipment, test adjustment, and site maintenance will continue to begin operation.
9.Start of operation (March 26, 2007)
The completion ceremony was held, and the wind power generation operation switch was pressed by the shouts of the children at Kougaya Elementary School, and the windmill began to turn slowly, and the operation began officially.
