Simultaneous supply of agricultural products produced in the city in school lunches
Since 2006, as an initiative to promote the use of agricultural and livestock products produced in the city in school lunches, we have been supplying vegetables from the city to all elementary schools and special support schools in the city during the local production for local consumption month in November. . The use of agricultural and livestock products produced in the city in school lunches will encourage elementary school student to learn about the region through ingredients and deepen knowledge of local culture and history. This project is implemented in cooperation with the Yokohama Agricultural Cooperative, the Yokohama School Food Education Foundation, the City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat, and the Green Environment Bureau.
