Welcome center

At the “Welcome Center”, which has five buildings in the city, provides information on walking around the forest happily and safely, as well as information on creatures so that a wide range of citizens, from children to adults, can visit, learn and enjoy the forest of Yokohama. We hold courses such as nature observation meetings. If you are interested in forests and nature, be sure to stop by the Welcome Center.

Forest Guide Map for Shimin-no-Mori / Fureai Forest

Shimin-no-Mori is open to the public as a place for citizens to relax with the cooperation of forest owners. When you come to the forest, please follow the manners and enjoy strolling.

Forest Creation Experience Meeting and Volunteers

Why don't you register as a forest-building volunteer and participate in forest-building activities such as mowing, thinning, creature surveys and environmental education in consideration of the diversity of creatures and the use of people?

Yokohama local production for local consumption support shop

Restaurants in the city that actively incorporate fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, eggs, and agricultural and livestock products such as “Hamapaku” from Yokohama into the menu, and engage in local production for local consumption.

Events and spots where you can touch greenery and flowers, such as walking around town

Events are also held at Yamashita Park, Harbor View Park (Minato-no-Mieru Oka Koen) and Satoyama Gardens.
