"Yokohama Nature Observation Forest" is located at the base of the Miura Peninsula and is located in the southern part of Yokohama City.
Here you can see a variety of plants, insects and wild birds.
Here, interact with and observe many familiar creatures living in nature, and learn how to interact with nature and humans.

At the Nature Observation Center, a ranger of the Japan Wild Bird Society is stationed.

• Guide

A ranger is stationed at the Nature Observation Center. It introduces the beauty of nature and the expressions of flora and fauna in each season.

• Exhibition

Panels and models can see the ecology of insects, plants, wild birds, information on the four seasons, and the mechanism of nature.

• Event

On every Sunday and holidays and summer vacation, we hold seasonal forest walking events, events to experience forest creation, and observation of creatures living in the forest.

• Volunteer

The Yokohama Nature Observation Forest is supported by many people. Men and women of all ages, regardless of qualifications. Would you like to help protect nature, too?
The volunteer group "Yokohama Nature Observation Moritomo no Kai" is engaged in various activities related to forest plants and animals.
