3.Safety measures for playground equipment

Playground equipment in the park conducts regular inspections four times a year based on the Yokohama City Park Facility Inspection Manual.
As a result of the inspection, parts will be replaced or repaired as necessary, and if it is dangerous, such as damage, we may prohibit use until repair is completed, but please cooperate to ensure safety To do.

In Yokohama-shi, we exchange with new playground equipment sequentially according to the age and condition of playground equipment. When installing new playground equipment, we select and place playground equipment that meets the safety standards while considering the use of the park and whether a safety area is secured around the playground equipment.

In Yokohama City, based on the playground equipment accidents that occurred continuously in the city in 2007, the “Examination Committee on Safety Management of Playground Equipment” by outside experts in August 2007.
A total of five committees were held by May 2008, and proposals and reports were submitted in August 2008.
