About tree branches and cut grass in the park.
How do you dispose of tree branches and cut grass in the park? How do you recycle it?
Last Updated April 1, 2019
In order to recycle pruned branches generated from parks and street trees, a “green recycling plant” was started operation in March 2006 in Yokohama Animal Forest Park.
In this facility, pruned branches and cut grass generated from parks and street trees are turned into chips and composted and reused, chips are used as mulching materials to reduce the generation of weeds, and compost is used as soil improvement materials in parks. In addition to being used for maintenance, general sales are also conducted.
