Yamashita district, Midori-ku (volunteer bus) "Yamashita district support bus"

In the Yamashita district of Midori Ward, the “Yamashita District Safety and Security Town Development Council” organized by residents, conducted a demonstration operation of the “Yamashita District Supportai Bus” as an effort to secure transportation by the local community support. Has been implemented with Yokohama City since December 2016. In this initiative, local volunteer buses operate wagon-type vehicles to support the movement of daily life, such as shopping, going to hospitals, and participating in local activities, by operating a wagon-type vehicles. Based on the results of the demonstration operation, a voluntary operation system by the region has been established, so full-scale operation has started on April 2, 2019.
