Yamashita district in Midori-ku (volunteer bus) "Yamashita district support bus"

In the Yamashita district of Midori Ward, the Yamashita district safety and security town development council organized by residents has been conducting a demonstration operation of the Yamashita district support bus with Yokohama since December 2016 as an initiative to secure transportation by the local community support. In this initiative, local volunteer buses operate wagon-type vehicles to support the movement of daily life, such as shopping, going to hospitals, and participating in local activities for those who have difficulty traveling during the day. Based on the results of the demonstration operation, the local autonomous operation system has been established, so full-scale operation has started on April 2, 2019.
