15 minutes to the nearest station
"Maintenance of a 15-minute transportation system to the nearest station" refers to the development of a transportation system that allows you to reach the nearest station by bus or on foot within approximately 15 minutes. It consists of measures to expand the walking area through the development of new railway lines, etc., and measures to improve bus traffic, which is a means of access to stations.

Status of Initiatives
The population of the "15 minutes to the station", which can be reached within 15 minutes to the nearest station, was about 74% of all citizens in 1997. In the five years up to fiscal 2001, we worked to raise it to about 80%, bringing it to about 83% at the end of fiscal 2001.
After that, due to the opening of the Green Line, etc., the population ratio of “15 minutes to the nearest station” at the end of FY2007 was 88.4%, and due to redevelopment in front of the station and new construction of bus routes, etc., at the end of FY2021, it was about 91.4%.
Definition of "15 minutes to the nearest station"
- The time required from your home to the nearest station.
- The target time is weekday commuting hours (approximately 7:00 am to 8:00 am).
- The station that can be used during the above hours shall be the target station of the nearest station.
- As a means of transportation, it is assumed that walking and buses will be used, and motorcycles and automobiles will not be used.
- The waiting time at the bus stop is not considered.
- The new transportation system will not be accessible by bus.
- Areas that are not expected to become residential areas in the future, such as golf courses, large-scale green spaces, wide-area parks, U.S. military requisition areas, and port areas such as wharfs, are not covered.
