Background of Creating a Joint Message from Nine Prefectures
In June 2021, accidents caused by drunk driving trucks occurred in Yakagai City, Chiba Prefecture, and accidents and incidents caused by drunk driving have continued to occur. In response to this situation, at the 80th Nine Prefectural City Summit (Autumn 2021), Chiba Prefecture proposed a joint declaration and joint efforts to eradicate drunk driving.
