Notice

Overview

In the field of sewerage, Yokohama City provides opportunities for visitors and trainees from overseas, within the framework of requests from related organizations (see "Receiving Requests" below) and the framework of projects being implemented.
Tours are also conducted at sewage treatment facilities, pumping stations, inundation countermeasures facilities, sites under construction, and murmuring where recycled water is being used. Lectures cover a wide range of themes, including sewage treatment, sewage sludge treatment, business wastewater regulations, inundation countermeasures, management, and public relations, all of which are based on requests for each project.
Hokubu Sewerage Center, the most frequently used tour facilities, has a wealth of display panels and models both in Japan and the UK as a base for disseminating information from the Water and Environmental Solutions Hub*, which is supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Yokohama City provides a place for the world to experience a wide range of water and environmental know-how.
