In Motoichi, we changed design of manhole cover to one of Yokohama's symbols "Bay Bridge" from October 1, 1997.
After drafting some design proposals in Shimo-Water Works Bureau, citizens voted at a facility tour event called "Sewer College" and selected it as a reference.
