Kanazawa Wastewater Treatment Plant is a water reclamation center constructed as part of a sewerage project based on the Yokohama International Port City Construction Project.

It started operation in October 1979 (Showa 54) as the second water reclamation center.
In April 2009, the adjacent Nambu Sludge Treatment Plant was integrated to unify management, and the organization name was changed to Nambu Sewerage Center on April 1, 2010.

The Kanazawa Ward area and Isogo Ward and Konan Ward areas have been designated as separate and combined sewers.

Sewage flows directly or flows into the main water reclamation center via the Kanazawa pumping station, and advanced treatment by the A2O method (high-grade treatment by the standard sludge activity method in some series) is carried out, and after sterilization, from Tomioka River to Tokyo Bay Will be released.

Characteristics

  1. Water treatment is advanced treatment using the anaerobic-aerobic-aerobic method (A2O method) for the purpose of removing nitrogen and phosphorus. (Excluding some series.)
  2. We have facilities for reusing treated water and are used as cooling water for machinery and cleaning water for in-house. In addition, water is supplied to neighboring Nambu Sludge Treatment Plant and Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Kanazawa plants as miscellaneous water.
  3. Jurisdiction facilities include the Kanazawa pumping station (sewage relay / rainwater drainage pumping station) and the Rokuura pumping station (rainwater drainage pumping station). In each case, a remote monitoring control device is used to operate and monitor from the water reclamation center to save labor.
  4. In the Torihama and Fukuura districts, there are Torihama Daiichi Plant Drainage Treatment Plant and Fukuura Plant Drainage Treatment Plant as pre-treatment facilities for factory drainage for the purpose of pollution control in the city, and plating from companies that use them. We treat wastewater jointly.
(The Torihama Daini Plant Drainage Treatment Plant was abolished on March 31, 2013.)
