Overview of Joint Research and Results Report
Last Updated September 27, 2024
The Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) conducted joint research with National Research and Development Agency (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology).
Overview
Research name "Study for Improvement of Heat Environment in Urban Areas in Yokohama"
Period
From August 15, 2019 to March 31, 2023
Purpose
We conducted research to improve the thermal environment of cities in Yokohama, such as verifying the effects of heat measures, visualizing verification results, and establishing a pre-predicting method for heat measures effects that can be used in project implementation.
Significance
Taking advantage of the results of field surveys conducted by the Institute for Environmental Science and the strengths of JAMSTEC's numerical simulation and analysis technology, we collaborated on this research based on the "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement for Regional Revitalization between Yokohama City and the National Research and Development Agency Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology".
Results Report
The results of this study are published in the following report.
