Outline of joint research and results report
Last Updated March 5, 2024
The Institute of Environmental Science conducted a joint research project with National Research and Development Agency, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC).
Overview
Research name "Study for Improving the thermal environment of cities in Yokohama"
Period
From August 15, 2019 to March 31, 2023
Purpose
We conducted research aimed at improving the thermal environment of cities in Yokohama, such as verifying the effects of heat countermeasures, visualizing the verification results, and establishing a method for predicting heat countermeasures that can be used during project implementation.
Significance
Taking advantage of the results of on-site surveys of the Institute for Environmental Sciences and the results of numerical simulation and analysis technologies, we collaborated on this research in collaboration with Yokohama City and National Research and Development Agency.
Results Report
The results of this study are published in the following report.
