The area around Tennocho Station and Hoshikawa Station are positioned as the center of Hodogaya Ward, and the future goal is to create a connected and integrated city that combines business, commerce, culture, exchange, administrative functions, etc. .
However, the Sagami Railway Main Line, which crossed the ward, caused chronic traffic congestion and regional divisions due to railroad crossings.
For this reason, in a section of about 1.9 km in length including Tennocho Station and Hoshikawa Station, a continuous grade separation project was implemented for the purpose of removing nine railroad crossings, including Tennocho Station and Hoshikawa Station, and improving the living environment by facilitating local traffic and integrating the area. We worked to eliminate railroad crossing accidents.
In addition, along with the elevated railways through the continuous grade separation project, Hoshikawa Station Square and surrounding roads have been improved as part of community development along the railway.
