What kind of pavement is Suzukaze Paving?
Last Updated March 5, 2019
In cities, the so-called heat island phenomenon occurs in summer due to heat storage in road pavements and concrete buildings, and exhaust heat of air conditioners. As one of the measures to control the heat island phenomenon, sparrow wind pavement is a pavement in which the surface of the asphalt pavement is coarse, with whitish material (water retaining material) that can store moisture in the gap. This project is being implemented as a “suzuwind pavement maintenance project” centered on water-holding pavement that reduces the temperature of the pavement surface with the heat of vaporization of stored water.
