Notice of temporary closure on Wednesday, November 6

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the museum will be closed temporarily for renewal work such as high-pressure cables.

Let's unravel the challenge library quiz from Konan Usapon!


Konan Library mascot character Konan Usapon has created problems with books and libraries to enjoy a quiz with everyone!
Take the quiz and get the wonderful goods of this kind of Usapon!

Let's enjoy children's songs and picture books with parents and children! (3 times in total)

The children's songs, which are the basis of words, have been sung in a relaxed rhythm with beautiful Japanese.
Have a pleasant time while having fun. It will be held three times in a row.

"Hamako Reading Day" Special Book Talk

In commemoration of "Hamako Reading Day", we will introduce children's books from around the world that have been popular for a long time.

Personal use (currently closed)

★Opening of the summer season has ended.
 The conference room is used for various purposes, such as library operations, talks and face-to-face readings.
 In the future, we will consider it based on the usage of the entire building.

Group use

Only registered organizations can use the conference room once a month.
※Meeting room use registration groups are reading parties, research groups, lifelong learning groups, etc. in Yokohama City for the purpose of promoting reading activities, etc.
 Organizations and groups that have submitted the “Konan Library Conference Room User Group Registration Application Form” for profit purposes.

Konan Library is looking for photos that will help you know the area.

Do you have any photos of old Konan Ward scenery on your album?
Please let the Konan Library know if you have any photos showing the buildings, streets, and life at that time, such as before and after regional development or before the housing complex was established.
The photos we are looking for are from Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras to around 1998, showing changes in the cityscape of Konan Ward, the status of regional development, and changes in civil life.

  • The photos you provide are on the website.Yokohama's Memory (outside site)Will be released.
  • It will also be used for panel exhibitions in the library.
  • The photo will be returned after the data is taken in.
  • If you donate, it will be saved at the library.

At Konan Library, the courtyard was opened to create a “resting place”.

I put benches, chairs and tables. You can eat and drink at the "resting place".
Available time is from 9:30 to 16:30.
It is not available when the library is closed.
In addition, please take your trash home. No smoking.
