"Children's Songs and Picture Book Lecture" (3 times in total) for those involved in child care support ※Reception has been closed because the capacity has been reached.

Lectures and demonstrations, practical training and comments, and follow-up courses.
Why don't you deliver the fun of children's songs and picture books that nurture the power of words to children?
Date and time: The 1st Wednesday, July 10
  The 2nd Wednesday, July 17
  The third Wednesday, November 13
  Each session from 10:00 a.m. to noon
Venue: Konan Library 2nd Floor Conference Room
Lecturer: Ms. Tohei Todaira (Kanagawa Children's Plaza)
Target: Volunteers and staff members who are involved in child-rearing support activities in Konan Ward and adults who can participate in all three times

Fun storytelling party for parents and children

This is a meeting of children's songs and picture books by Konan Library Librarian.

"Ohanashi Hiroba no Kai" talk meeting

Summer vacation! I'll write a fun book! Book talk meeting

Konan Library Librarian will introduce books recommended for elementary school students in book talks.

1st time: From 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 am (for first and second graders)
2nd time: From 10:45 am to 11:15 am (for 3rd and 4th graders)

A scary talk party

About personal use (currently closed)

★The opening of the conference room in summer has ended.  In the future, we will consider the trends in infectious diseases and the demand for power saving.
It can be used by anyone during the opening hours.
However, it cannot be used when used for business or lending to a group.
There is also a sudden change, so please contact Konan Library on the day to see if it is available. (Phone: 841-5577)
When using the service, the precautions to be observed, "Request for using the conference room" are posted in the meeting room.
Please observe these precautions before using.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

About group, group use

Only registered groups using the conference room can use it once a month.
※Meeting room use registration groups are intended to promote reading activities at reading associations, research groups, and lifelong learning groups in Yokohama.
 This is an organization or group that has submitted the "Konan Library Conference Room User Group Registration Application" without profit.

The Konan Library is looking for photos that will help you know the area.

Is there a picture of the old Konan Ward scenery stored on your album?
Please let the Konan Library know if you have any photos that show the buildings, streets, and life at that time, before and after the development of the area or before the housing complex was built.
The photos to be recruited are those that show the changes in the cityscape in Konan Ward, the status ofTaisho, and Showa eras to 1998.

  • The photos you provided are on our website.Yokohama's Memory (outside site)It will be published.
  • It will also be used for panel exhibitions in the library.
  • The photo will be returned after the data is taken in.
  • If you donate it, we will save it at the library.

Konan Library has opened the courtyard and created a "rest place".

We placed benches, chairs and tables. You can eat and drink at the "rest place".
Available hours are from 9:30 to 16:30.
It is not available when the library is closed.
Please bring your own trash with you. Non-smoking.
