Konan Library mascot character name "Konanusapon" is decided!

We held a premiere of the name of the mascot character, which was recruited to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the opening of the Konan Library, on Friday, January 21!
The name has been decided to be "Konan Sapon"!

= Mr. Konan Library Director Greetings =
I am really grateful to have this day today.
Thirty-five years ago, on January 21, 1987, Konan Library opened. Over the past 35 years, I would like to thank the local community, volunteers who have repaired books and organized books, story-telling volunteers, and many users for their support. Thank you very much.
By the way, the name of the mascot character may be asked, and we decided to decide the name to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the museum's opening. A lot of applications were received, and out of 494 entries, it was decided to be "Konan Sapon". It's a rabbit character derived from books and libraries, and it's a wonderful name like Konan Ward.
I would like to take this opportunity to work together with the mascot character "Konan Sapon" as a member of the Konan Library staff, and to help everyone, from the age of 0 to the elderly, enjoy reading throughout Konan Ward.
"I will continue to walk with you" with Konan Library.
Hiroko Suzuki, Director of Konan Library
