The Kanagawa Ward Photo Album is a digitized version of photographs taken of landscapes and local areas in Kanagawa Ward.

Photographs are a valuable resource that records the history of the region. The photos taken now will also become historical materials 10 and 20 years later. It is also an important role of the library to collect and store it without dissipating it.

Copying without permission is prohibited beyond the scope stipulated by copyright law.

●How to view a list of regional photos

If you select "View Regional Photo List", you can see the photo list page.
Please click the title of the photo you want to see because it is divided by area.

●How to search by map

Select "Choose Photos from Area" and click on the name of the area below the map.
Photos of the selected area will be displayed in a list.
You can see the image by clicking the title of the photo.

●How to find it by street name

If you select "Select photo from town name", you can see the town name index.
Click on the name of the street name you want to see, and a photo of the area including the selected town name will be displayed in a list.
Also, depending on the street name, there may be no photo.
You can see the image by clicking the title of the photo.

"Kana Digi" clearly states secondary use so that photos can be actively used.
When using photos in this database, please check the "Availability of secondary use" column of each photo.

When posting, broadcasting or displaying photos, a posting request is required. It may take a few days to respond to approval for use, so please apply in advance.
