Legal Information Corner

Please use Chuo-toshokan as an access base for legal information search when you need legal information in your daily life or business, or when you need consultation materials with lawyers or other specialists.

We always have about 900 books, including "legal consultation books for the general public" on various themes, six laws in specific fields, article-by-law commentary, and precedent commentary.

Create a variety of navigation tools, such as the "Law Information Classification Index". We support access to more than 30,000 legal books and databases owned by Chuo-toshokan.

We prepare brochures of various related organizations such as Hoterasu, Judicial Scrivener Association, Traffic Accident Dispute Resolution Center to provide legal consultation information useful for solving problems.

We ask that you use the materials in the Legal Information Corner inside the museum so that you can check them anytime when you visit Chuo-toshokan.
If you would like to borrow, we will check if there are materials that can be borrowed, so please ask at the counter.

Based on the classification method called the Japan Decimal Classification Table, Yokohama City Library assigns classification numbers for each theme and arranges books in the order of numbers.
This index allows you to check the classification number from the main keywords and legal names.

CD/DVD-ROM Database Search Service (PC Research Corner on the 3rd floor of Chuo-toshokan)

You can search for legal literature information, CDs and DVD-ROMs such as "Precedent Time Bulletin", "Precedent Times", "Financial / Commercial Case", and "Work Case".

We have installed a personal computer that allows you to browse the Internet. For more information, please refer to the following website.

Available on the 4th floor of Chuo-toshokan. Power can be used in private seats, but 4-person seats can be used with batteries.
