Events to be held this month or events that start reception are posted.
If you do not need to apply in advance, please come directly to the venue on the day.
In addition, participation may be refused if the number of participants is large for events without a capacity.

Chuo-toshokan (Phone: 045-262-0050)

Until the Central Library in Yokohama City is established

Chuo-toshokan opened in February 1994 and was fully opened in April. Since its opening, Chuo-toshokan has played a central role in Yokohama City Library.
In the exhibition, we look back on the materials and images of the Chuo-toshokan from the planning stage to completion.

This month's theme exhibition

Unified exhibition "Chuo-toshokan 30th Anniversary"

Chuo-toshokan will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024. For this reason, materials will be exhibited from various viewpoints with the keyword "30".
Period: From Tuesday, March 19 to May 6 (Monday / holiday)

Teen's theme exhibition "I want to start new things!"

Here are some introductory books on various themes that you can meet for the first time.

Valuable materials exhibition "Perry Yokohama 170th Anniversary 4th Anniversary of Perry Yokohama"

In 1853, a fleet led by Perry arrived in Uraga. Perry's fleet arrived in Japan again in 1854, and Yokohama is the reception place. This exhibition is the fourth installment of the "170th Anniversary of Perry Yokohama Landing", which commemorates the 170th anniversary of Perry's arrival in Yokohama, and displays related materials continuously.

170th anniversary of Perry landing in Yokohama

This year marks the 170th anniversary of Perry's party landing in Yokohama on February 10, 1854 (March 8, 1854). Materials related to Perry's arrival will be on display.

Exhibition "Thinking about" Founding (Independent / Entrepreneurship) "in the Library"

Along with panel display about entrepreneurship provided by the Yokohama City Credit Guarantee Association, we will also introduce related books.
