Refund of National Health Insurance benefit expenses

If you receive a medical examination at a medical institution using your Yokohama National Health Insurance Card after losing your qualification for Yokohama City National Health Insurance due to reasons such as joining the employee health insurance of your workplace or moving out of the city, you will be required to return the medical expenses (70-80% of total medical expenses, high medical costs, dietary and medical expenses at the time of admission, etc.).
If you find a job or move out of the city, please do not use it even if you have your Yokohama National Health Insurance Card at hand.

What is the refund of National Health Insurance medical treatment benefit expenses?

★ Date when the National Health Insurance Card becomes unavailable

  ・When you move out of Yokohama city        ……The date of transfer (* If you move abroad, the day after the transfer)
  ・When subscribing to the medical system for elder senior citizens  ……Date of joining (75th birthday or date of certification due to disability)
 In either case, please note that this is not the date of the procedure to stop Yokohama National Health Insurance or when you received a new employee health insurance insurance card.

Regarding the refund of insurance benefits, the return of medical expenses borne by the National Health Insurance, which is different from the insurance premium. In addition, insurance premiums are calculated up to the month before the day when the National Health Insurance is no longer eligible, and will be settled separately.

Please tell me that you are in the process of switching to employee health insurance. You will pay 100% on that day, and if you show your new insurance card at a later date, you may be able to settle it. If you are unable to pay at the hospital, you can also charge your newly joined employee health insurance.
