About entrance preparation fee (new entrance to junior high school)

Under the Subsidies for School Expenses system, a part of the preparation fee for junior high school admission will be provided as a purchase ticket for junior high school standard clothing (hereinafter referred to as “purchase tickets”) so that children who are planning to enter junior high school in April 2025 can start their school life.

Purchase tickets were mailed to you on December 23, 2024.

Households with 6th grade elementary school children certified under the Subsidies for School Expenses System in 2024 (excluding households receiving social security).
However, it is limited to households that have paid a junior high school entrance preparation fee of 49,500 yen by the beginning of December 2024.

（１） Please decide which business or store to purchase standard clothes. Please refer to the materials of the admission briefing session for junior high schools, etc. for businesses and stores that handle standard clothes at the entrance destination.

（２） Purchase tickets are issued by the School Support and Regional Cooperation Division of the City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat Secretariat and can be used only by businesses and stores that can handle purchase tickets. For businesses and stores that can be handled, please check the list of handling companies and stores (Excel: 37KB).

（３） Please offer to use a purchase ticket when applying for measurement of standard clothes etc. 。

（４） In the purchase ticket, we will support a maximum of 30,000 yen of the purchase price. Please present and submit your purchase ticket and use it for payment.

（５） If the purchase ticket cannot be used, we will refund it. For details, please refer to the FAQ Q.A.7.

Ｑ１： Why is a part of the junior high school entrance preparation fee paid with a purchase ticket such as standard clothes?
Ａ１： A part of the cash payment will be paid as a “purchase ticket” equivalent to junior high school standard clothing so that students can start school life with the necessary standard clothing etc. by providing appropriate assistance. Distributed as

Ｑ２： Can I make a copy of the purchase ticket and use it?
Ａ２： A copy of the purchase ticket cannot be used. Only the original can be used. When you make a copy, the purchase ticket is printed on paper printed as "COPY".

Ｑ３： I have lost my purchase ticket. Can I reissue it?
Ａ３： It cannot be reissued because it is a cash voucher. Please be careful when handling it because it is a valuable item.

Ｑ４： The use of purchase tickets has been refused at a supermarket cash register named in the list of handling businesses and stores.
Ａ４： Some businesses that handle them may be tenants in supermarkets. I'm sorry, but please contact the tenant company or store directly.

Ｑ５： What happens if standard clothes are less than 30,000 yen?
Ａ５： If the purchase price is less than 30,000 yen, the difference (change) cannot be refunded.

Ｑ６： I'd like to use the purchase ticket for my acquaintance's standard clothes.
Ａ６： Please use this only for standard clothes of target elementary school studenｔ. Purchase tickets are assigned their own management number, and transfer and resale are prohibited.

Ｑ７： How will the refund be made?
Ａ７： If the purchase ticket cannot be used due to the following "refund example", etc., fill in the parent entry field on the front of the purchase ticket and "○" for the reason applicable on the back, cut out the purchase ticket, and purchase the purchase ticket to [Destination] Please return. In principle, refunds will be made through elementary and compulsory education schools in March along with the payment of Subsidies for School Expenses fees. Please note that refunds may be around from March depending on the time of return of the purchase ticket.
