At Nitani Elementary School, the oldest school building is 66 years old (as of 2022), and the target useful life of 70 years is imminent, so based on the "Basic Policy on Rebuilding of Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School Facilities", We are considering rebuilding. In addition, the basic policy states that schools will be considered in conjunction with the rebuilding of schools, so a study group consisting of the community, parents' representatives, and school principals has been set up, and the adjacent Saito branch elementary school, which is a small school.
