In Yokohama City, facilities that respond to the diversification of educational content and educational methods, etc. corresponding to the creation of schools that walks with the “town” aimed at the “Yumehama Education Plan” which was the basic education philosophy at the time of 1999. In August 2002, we formulated the "Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School Facility Planning Guidelines" (hereinafter referred to as "Guidelines").
This guideline has been revised in light of the fact that more than 16 years have passed since the guidelines were formulated, and the educational environment has changed significantly. This guideline applies not only to the rebuilding of school facilities, but also to new extensions and facility maintenance, and aims to reduce the financial burden as much as possible based on future rebuilding plans.
