In Yokohama City, facility functions corresponding to the creation of schools that walk with the “town” aimed at by the “Yumehama Education Plan”, the basic education philosophy at the time of 1999, and facilities that respond to diversification of educational content and educational methods In August 2002, the "Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High School Facility Planning Guidelines" (hereinafter referred to as "Guidelines") were formulated in order to secure the basic policies necessary for school facilities.
This guideline has been revised in light of the fact that more than 16 years have passed since the formulation of the guidelines and that the educational environment has changed significantly. The purpose of this guideline is to apply not only to rebuilding school facilities but also to new extensions and facility maintenance, and to reduce the financial burden as much as possible based on future rebuilding plans.
