Plan to extend the life of school facilities (School conservation renewal plan)
Last Updated August 16, 2024
As school facilities become aging, it is necessary to keep school facilities sound at all times to ensure the safety and security of children.
To that end, it is important to maintain and update systematically and efficiently in a difficult financial situation.
Therefore, City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat puts the first priority on maintaining and improving the educational environment for students in elementary school student, while comprehensively assessing school facilities.
Based on the prolonging service life, we also consider cost reduction and leveling and quality improvement of the educational environment.
In March 2018, we formulated a plan to extend the life of school facilities (School conservation Renewal Plan) for the purpose of proper renovation and rebuilding.
※This plan is positioned as an individual facility plan for school facilities based on the Yokohama City Public Facilities Management Basic Policy (developed in March 2015).
※The Yokohama City Public Facilities Management Basic Policy was revised in December 2022 and became the "Comprehensive Management Plan for Yokohama City Public Facilities".
