Y Sapo (Yokohama City Childcare and Education Quality Improvement Supporter)

 In Yokohama City, in order to secure and improve the quality of childcare throughout the city, based on past efforts such as the "Yokohama ☆ Childcare and Education Declaration", not only our own garden but also local neighborhood gardens We are working to develop human resources who contribute to securing and improving the quality of childcare. In fiscal 2023, we launched the Yokohama City Childcare and Education Quality Improvement Supporter Project (Y Support Project). Y Sapo is a human resource who visits other gardens and supports childcare along with consultation and implementation of in-park training and open childcare planning. In the Y Sapo business, we will nurture practitioners who support each other while learning from each other from the same perspective as the childcare workers they visit.

Y-sapo's "Y" is of course "YOKOHAMA" Y.
“YOKO (from the side)” refers to the same childcare practitioner.
While supporting
Everyone talks about childcare and the appearance of children.
It represents the goal of Y Sapo.

Overview of Y Sapo’s Business

[Recruitment / Certification]

Once in the year, we will recruit according to the following requirements.
① Completed one of the following outbound training programs conducted by City of Yokohama, Child and Youth Bureau
 (In-school training leader training, in-school training leader follow-up training, baby/infant childcare practice study, early childhood education practice study)
② Have experience of conducting in-school training and open childcare in your own garden
③ Those who the director of the facility recognizes that they have the qualities to provide training in the park and support for open childcare at other facilities.

Activities in the First Year

 We will attend the dispatch of academics to schools that carry out open childcare in the “Training Leader Training Training” (three times a year).

Activities from the second year onwards

 We visit childcare and educational facilities requested by Child and Youth Bureau to assist with childcare workers (in the second year, a pair of two people).

[Fostering and Connecting Y Sapo]

 We will exchange information on the activities of the "liaison meeting" to deepen the connection between Y supporters (twice / year).
 "Training sessions" Through training by academic experts, you can look back on your activities and get the necessary learning as Y support (once / year).

[Reward]

 We will pay the fee to the facility where the Y Sapo was dispatched.
