Creating rules for the town

In the case of land use and architectural planning, the use, height, etc. of buildings that can be built are determined by the City Planning Act and the Building Standards Law, but this is the minimum standard.

"Building agreements" and "District Planning", which set detailed standards based on the initiative of residents according to the local characteristics, such as the cityscape, the type of building, and the area of the site, are called "town rules".

In each ward office in Yokohama-shi, "town rule making consultation corner" is set up. In the consultation corner, we accept consultations on these "rules of towns".

In the Building Agreement System, the owners of the land add certain restrictions to the "minimum standards" such as the Building Standards Law, and protect each other by the agreed districts. Konan Ward has ten building agreements, which are managed by the Steering Committee, organized by local residents.

For the purpose of proposing and implementing the maintenance of a familiar living environment (facility maintenance) that makes use of local characteristics, we raise proposals about hardware maintenance of familiar town from citizens This is a business that provides support for maintenance led by citizens, such as issuing a maintenance subsidy of up to 5 million yen for proposals selected in the two-stage public contest.
