Expansion of bus stop shed in front of Konan Ward General Government Building

The bus stop in front of the Konan Ward General Government Building is a bus stop close to Exit 1 of the Municipal Subway Konan Chuo Station, with all buses going south on the Kamakura Highway stopping (about 630 flights/day).
However, since there is only one bus stop so far and the width of the sidewalk around the bus stop is narrow, bus users, Konan Chuo Station users, and sidewalk passers are complicated, and the situation where the ward is very crowded It was an issue.

Based on the above background, the ward has been promoting a plan to increase the number of sheds for bus stops on the sidewalk in front of Konan Public Hall in order to reduce congestion around the bus stop.
In 2023, we started construction for the expansion of the shed and started operation of the bus stop on December 18, 2023 (Monday) after the installation of incidental facilities such as benches was completed.

We received donations from eight companies and organizations in the city, and set up four benches on the site of Konan Public Hall.
In addition, at the Konan Ward New Year's greetings exchange meeting held on January 6, 2024, a letter of appreciation was presented to corporate groups and bodies who donated by Konan Director General.
