On Saturday afternoon of September 3, 2022, when the rain forecast turned cloudy and the heat was gone away, a special lecture was held, "The architect Kengo Kuma talked about Okurayama" in Kohoku public hall. This lecture was introduced by Josei-in Temple (Okurayama) and originally scheduled for February 27, 2022, but was postponed due to priority measures such as prevention of spread.

Mr. Kengo Kuma
Born in 1954. Established Kengo Kuma Architects & Urban Design Office in 1990. After working as a professor at Keio University and a professor at the University of Tokyo, he is currently a special professor and emeritus at the University of Tokyo. Projects are underway in more than 30 countries. We propose architecture that opens up a new relationship between nature, technology and human beings. His main books include "Dots, Lines, and Surfaces" (Iwanami Shoten), "People's House" (Shincho Shinsho), "Lost Architecture" (Iwanami Shoten), "Natural Architecture", "Small Architecture", "Small Architecture" (Iwanami Shinsho) , Many others.

Mr. Seiji Hirai, President of Okura Institute for Mental and Cultural Studies Born in Okayama.
He studied Japanese history and joined the Okura Institute of Mental and Cultural Studies in 1987 as a part-time researcher. He is in charge of organizing a huge amount of materials at the institute. Learn about the history of the founder, research institute and Kohoku Ward. One of the founding members of the Kohoku Library Friends Association, the Okurayama Park Protection Association, and the Tsurumi River Boating Project, working on a wide range of local activities.
Takahiko Iida Born and raised in Okurayama. He is still living.
Mr. Kuma's first grade. Councilor of Okura Institute of Mental and Cultural Studies. He also serves as chairman of the Yokohama Fire Department's Association and the chairman of the Kanagawa Fire Association.
Junichi Urushihara Born and raised in Nagaokurayama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama.
After graduating from university, he joined the Yokohama City Hall City Planning Bureau as an architect. At the Yokohama International Stadium (Nissan Stadium), he also experienced the development of facilities for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. In April this year, he became Kohoku Director General, Yokohama.
