Ensuring reliability

We carry out the following duties to ensure reliability such as inspections pertaining to food hygiene in Yokohama.

Inspection departments (Hygiene Laboratory, Home Food Sanitation Laboratory, Home Food Sanitation Laboratory and Meat Sanitation Laboratory) and the removal department responsible for removing food (removing food from stores, etc. for inspection) (Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division and Medical Care Bureau Food Sanitation Division in 18 wards) check the status of management and other operations from a third party perspective.

Each inspection department carries out administrative procedures, etc. to appropriately receive external accuracy control surveys conducted by the Food and Chemical Safety Center.

Data such as additive collection tests, reproducibility tests (physical and chemical tests), fungus identification tests, and bacteria count measurement tests (microbial tests) conducted in each inspection department.

The following operations are being carried out to ensure the reliability of pathogen testing.

We check the management status of operations such as tests with the testing department (Hygiene Research Institute) in charge of testing for specimens of patients with infectious diseases or pathogens of infectious diseases.

Each inspection department participates in precision control surveys approved by the national government and other organizations.

We confirm whether reliability tests are being carried out in each inspection department.
