Information on Price High Support Benefits

In order to reduce the burden on low-income households with a large sense of burden of price hikes, the inhabitant tax per capita rate will provide price high support benefits to households exempt from tax.

Overview of Benefits

Households eligible for payment

The following two conditions must be met.

  • There must be a resident registration in Yokohama City as of December 13, 2024
  • All households are exempt from inhabitant tax per capita rate in 2024

(Note) Even if the above conditions are met, households consisting of only dependent relatives of those who are subject to residence tax are not eligible for payment.
(Example: Students living away from their parents, family members living apart from those who are working alone, etc.)

Person who can apply for and receive benefits

I'm the head of the resident registration (resident certificate).
(Note) If a person other than the head of the household performs the application procedure or receipt, a delegation from the head of the household is required.

Amount paid

30,000 yen per household
Add 20,000 yen per child (child addition)
※Children under the age of 18 (born after April 2, 2006) who are household members of the target household are eligible for addition.
 Children born between the day after the base date and May 30, 2025 are also eligible for addition. (Application may be required.)

[Payment is only once and cannot be received in duplicate with other local governments]

Application period

From Wednesday, February 12, 2025 to Friday, May 30, 2025 [must arrive]
※For applications for children born between the day after the base date and Friday, May 30, 2025, it is [postmark valid].

How to apply

Payment method and timing of payment

In principle, payment will be made by transfer to the account of the financial institution.

In the case of those who have received the "Notice of Payment"

Payment will be made to the financial account listed in the “Notice of Payment” sequentially from Friday, March 7, 2025.
If you change the transfer account, it will take about one month from the time you accept the change procedure to the transfer.
※When you change transfer account, please report to Yokohama-shi price high support benefit call center by Wednesday, February 19.

For those who have applied for "Confirmation Form" or "Application Form"

If you are eligible for payment and there are no incomplete documents or entries, you will be transferred in about one month after accepting the application.

Return of benefits

After receiving the benefit, if it is found that the household does not meet the payment requirements or that the household has already received this benefit from another municipality, we will request a return of the benefit from Motoichi.
Malicious false applications may be charged with criminal liability.
