Procedure for payment of welfare services

Under the Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities Act, procedures and standards are transparent and clarified in order to achieve fair service use. In nursing care benefits, based on an assessment consisting of a nationwide uniform standard and a written opinion of a doctor's opinion, the examination committee established in municipalities examines and determines the disability support category. Based on the examination judgment result (secondary judgment), municipalities certify disability support division.
This disability support category is a matter to be considered for deciding the payment of nursing care benefits, etc., along with "Status of social activities, caregivers, residence, etc." and "intention to use services".

Some welfare services for nursing care benefits may require certain disability support categories and other requirements.
※1. If you are over 50 years old, you can use it from Category 2.
※2. If you are over 50 years old, you can use it from Category 3.
※3: Muscular dystrophy patients and severely handicapped can be used from Category 5.
