Subsidy for living environment improvement expenses

What is the Living Environment Improvement Project?
 Housing remodeling tailored to the physical condition (such as daily activities) and housing conditions for specialized staff so that elderly people, children with disabilities, and persons who need support or nursing care can continue living at home. We provide advice on remodeling and subsidize a part of the housing remodeling cost implemented based on advice.

1.Housing remodeling costs

Those who fall under any of the following
(1) Those who have acquired the first or second grade of the certificate of the physically disabled
(2) Those with an intelligence index of 35 or less
(3) Those who have obtained the 3rd grade certificate of the physically disabled and who have an intelligence index of 50 or less
※However, this excludes those who have obtained the relevant certificate of the physically disabled after the date of reaching the age of 65.

Construction aimed at supplementing daily activities, supporting independence, and reducing the burden on caregivers.
(Example: installation of handrails, elimination of steps, change to flooring that is easy to move, replacement of doors to sliding doors, etc.)

[Details of Grant]
・Please consult with us in advance about whether or not you are eligible for the grant.
・We support house remodeling costs (expenses for remodeling bathrooms, toilets, etc.) up to 1.2 million yen (for construction covered by the long-term care insurance system, the long-term care insurance system has priority).
・There is a subsidy limit for independent support equipment depending on the individual. In addition, those who are 65 years old or older and have obtained a certificate of the physically disabled are not eligible in principle.

[Others]
・The use of the system is limited to once in principle (however, you may be able to apply again depending on the situation).
・New construction, extension, construction due to aging or breakdown is not eligible.
・If necessary, we will dispatch professional staff such as architects to provide consultation and advice. If benefits are received from The Long-term Care Insurance, the long-term care insurance system will take precedence.

[Expenses] There is a self-pay according to the municipal tax amount and income tax amount of the person who mainly lives.
