In Yokohama-shi, we carry out business to support communication at the time of hospitalization for person with severe disability.
In this project, when communication is required, communication support staff will be dispatched to hospitals (excluding psychiatric hospitals and psychiatric wards) to facilitate smooth communication between the staff of the medical institution and the person himself. Is what you do.

2 Targets | Children with disabilities / persons who are elementary school students or older living in Yokohama City who apply to all of the following (1) to (4) However, this does not apply to cases where disability support category 6 can receive communication support during hospitalization due to severe home care. ※We confirm requirements in ward Health and Welfare Center along confirmation table (see attached table) (PDF: 227KB). 3 Communication Support Staff | Helpers who are involved in the support of the individual on a daily basis, staff at the tsusho, group home staff, staff of entrance facilities (excluding nursing care establishments), staff at local activity homes, etc. | |
4 Number of hours of use | Up to 150 hours per admission. (There is no limit on the number of days.) ※Plan and adjust the dispatch time etc. within the limits between users and businesses. | |
5 User burden | None. (If you are dispatching to a hospital outside the city, you may be required to pay the transportation expenses for dispatching support staff.) | |
6 Business Flow | Refer to the flow chart (PDF: 262KB) 1 Pre-registration (In the case of emergency hospitalization, it is also possible to register and use it at the time of hospitalization.)
