Last Updated October 19, 2023

In the Shinyamashita area, we are promoting urban development in cooperation with local councils in order to form a cityscape where commerce, business, and recreation functions are arranged in a well-balanced manner by redevelopment of the landfill site and the surrounding area. .
With the improvement of transportation infrastructure such as National Route 357 between Oguro and Honmoku and the Minato Mirai 21 Line, the convenience has been further improved, and the location facing calm waters and the superiority of the Shinyamashita area has been further enhanced. .
In the commercial and business zones, a new port hospital has been constructed as a medical base that plays a central role in the region, and the location of commercial facilities has begun due to land use conversion, and has begun to make a major move toward creating a new city.

Town planning under Niiyama

A city where you can feel the harbor

  • We aim to create a relaxed cityscape with the uniqueness of "Minato Town".
  • It creates a view of the sea and ships.
  • We will promote land use where water can be felt.

A city where you can feel history

  • We will develop designs that take advantage of the characteristics of the region that has played a part in the history of Yokohama Port, such as storage yards and boat transportation.
  • It inherits the culture of wood and creates an atmosphere.

Towns that take advantage of location characteristics

  • We will introduce commerce, business, and recreation facilities that make use of the location characteristics of the waterside to create bustle.
  • Adjacent to the logistics base, we will form an advanced logistics base that takes advantage of location characteristics such as the convenience of transportation access.

A city of human scale

  • We aim to secure the safety and comfort of visitors and an open space by retreating the walls of buildings.
  • We will set up a plaza and promenade along the waterfront, aiming to form a pedestrian network that cooperates with the surrounding area.
