January, 1935 (Showa 10) | Completed landfill at Shinyamashita Storage Site (25.9ha) |
After that, the amount of log imports at Yokohama Port gradually increased and peaked in the early 1940s and flourished.However, due to a decrease in raw wood imports due to an increase in sawmill imports, it almost disappeared in the late 1950s, and about half a century Has ended its historical role as a storage yard has ended.
