Last Updated February 14, 2019

Mitsuzawa district contact community cleaning was carried out.

On October 20, we participated in the Mitsuzawa district contact community cleaning, which cleans the murmuring green road around Mitsuzawa Elementary School and National Route 1. On the day, in addition to elementary school student, teachers, parents and local residents of Mitsuzawa Elementary School, students from Yokohama Suiran High School (all first-year students), children and teachers of Mitsuzawa Kindergarten, and professional soccer teams with Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium as their home stadium. Approximately 1,500 people, including officials from Yokohama FC, corporate associations, Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau, and ward offices, interacted with local residents through cleanup activities in familiar places.
Contact community cleaning is carried out every year in spring and autumn as an annual event of Mitsuzawa Elementary School and Mitsuzawa district, and this is the 25th year's approach.

On the day, they gathered in the school grounds of Mitsuzawa Elementary School, listened to greetings from Principal Yashima, Tsuneo Sato Mitsuzawa District Association Neighborhood Association Chairman Yasuhiko Okudera, and Yokohama FC's mascot character "Furimaru" and the mascot character of Yokohama FC and the mascot character of Kanagawa Ward. I was sent off by the character "Taro Kame" and started cleaning all at once.

Yasuhiko Okudera, the first Japanese professional soccer player, Yasuhiko Okudera, was also sweating with the participants in cleaning activities until the end. At the scheduled time, after cleaning the allocated places, we returned to school lightly, and each group had a reflection meeting with a sixth grader moderator of the leader. elementary school student and local people talked about impressions such as "The familiar roads and the murmuring green road were beautiful."
In the autumn contact area cleaning, the participation of students of Yokohama Suiran High School in the Mitsuzawa district has become an annual event. From the high school students who participated, we were able to hear voices such as "I had a valuable experience by participating as a volunteer" and "I enjoyed making friends with the children."
It is said that if you keep familiar places always clean, it will become a city where no one throws away garbage and become a livable area where crime is unlikely to occur. We think that contact community cleaning is very meaningful activity that interchange of wide generations and connection between area and school are brought up, and inhabitants of a ward bring attachment to area.
Thank you very much for all the people who participated in the activities. Thank you very much.
