"My town Kanagawa best" charm discovery tour was held.

On March 28, an attractive discovery tour organized by the "My Town Kanagawa Special" executive committee was held. The Executive Committee consists of Neighborhood Association, Chamber of Commerce, Industry Association, Shopping Districts, Cultural Association, Shopping Districts, Cultural Association, and other local residents who are engaged in various activities in theKanagawa Ward.
This time, we plan to discover the charm of Kanagawa Ward while taking pictures around places that are not normally accessible. At 9:30 on the day, about 60 participants gathered at the ward office, boarded two buses and set off to discover new attractions. I heard that it was a place where I couldn't usually enter, so I took a vacation and participated in the entire journey.

Toyoko Flower Green Road

The first thing I went to was Toyoko Flower Green Road. The area between Higashi-Hakuraku Station and Yokohama Station was undergrounded through mutual direct operation between Minato Mirai Line and Toukyu Toyoko Line. There is Tammachi Station under the green road, and in the unlikely event of a fire, you can go to the green road above the ground through an evacuation route. In addition, there is a shaft that allows firefighters to descend vertically to an underground station for activities. Usually, escalators and elevators are used from the ticket gate on the ground to the platform on the 4th basement floor, but this time, specially guided by the station manager of Tammachi Station, walk the long stairs from the exit of the evacuation route on the green road to the platform I got off. In case of emergency, training is also being conducted to guide passengers safely.

Next, we headed for the construction site of Hazawa Station (tentative name) on the eastern Kanagawa area. The Kanagawa eastern line will have the Sotetsu / JR direct line, and the Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line. We toured a construction site near Hazawa Station (tentative name), which will be an underground station. The shielding work for digging tunnels has already been completed, and I felt breathtaking about the size of the scale. The next visit was the Yokohama Central Wholesale Market, which supports Yokohama citizens' food. Since its establishment in 1931, the market has been providing a safe and secure supply of fresh food and other products.
The highlight of the tour is entry into the freezer of Yokohama Market Refrigeration Co., Ltd. Inside the door is a white unknown world of 40 degrees below zero. It was so cold that I couldn't afford to look at the items stored inside.

I entered the beach wing.

The last place to visit is Hama Wing. The official name of Hama Wing is called "Yokohama Wind Power Plant". The rotor is rotated by the force of the wind to produce electricity. The rated output is 1980 kW, which generates an average of 2.2 million kilowatts per year. It is said that this is electricity that can cover about 500 households. This reduces carbon dioxide, which causes global warming, can be reduced by 830 tons. Mizuho Wharf is not open to the public, so you cannot freely go to the feet of the windmill. In order to go to the foot of Hama Wing and observe up close, it is necessary to participate in tours organized by Yokohama City. The blades of the rotor are called blades and there are three. The rotor is 80 meters in diameter and when the blade comes directly above, the height from the ground is 118 meters, which exceeds the height of the Marine Tower. From the vicinity, you can feel the power of the blade and the design of the polka dot pattern give you a sense of Yokohama.

It was a hot photography course.

After the charm discovery tour, we returned to the ward office and took a photo course by Mr. Sugimoto of the Cultural Association Photography Department. Mr. Sugimoto presented the works taken on the day and gave lectures on techniques to make photos more interesting, such as slow shutters and how to take composition.
As many people know the place they visited this time, but I don't think there are many opportunities to actually step in. I think the participants were able to discover the new charm of Kanagawa Ward.
