About road self-financing construction

What is road self-financing construction?

When person except road manager performs construction or maintenance about road, it must receive approval of road manager (Road Law Article 24). Because the cost required for this construction is to be borne by the approved person (Article 57 of the Road Law), it is commonly called "own expense construction".

Examples of major road self-financing construction

・Relocation or removal of car stops and tree-planting basins for vehicles entering parking lots, etc.
・Relocation of curved mirrors, street trees, etc. (Please contact NTT for telegraph poles and Tokyo Electric Power Company for telephone poles)
・Devaluation work for setting designated roads
・Road maintenance associated with development and residential land development
・Repair and restoration of damaged pavement
・Construction loading road (when the sidewalk is cut down and used as a construction vehicle approach road for construction)
・In addition, when making changes to road structures

Application for road self-financing construction

Please fill in required items in the application form for approval of road construction, etc.) and submit two copies with the following drawings attached. (Download the form after the application form)
If the application is incomplete (missing or missing attached books), the application will not be accepted. For drawings that are difficult to attach, please consult with the person in charge of Public Works Office in advance.
It takes a certain number of days from receipt of the application to approval, so please apply in time according to the construction schedule.
At the time of submitting the application form and witnessing the completion inspection will be held on Tuesday afternoon of the following week for documents received by the morning of every Friday (if Tuesday / Friday is a national holiday, etc., it will be postponed to the next day etc. You.   • Guide map (Please attach one with no copyright or other problems)
  • Floor plan (Please illustrate the construction site and construction details so that the entire site can be understood)
  • Vertical cross-section (Please create a drawing that shows the slope, height difference, etc. according to the construction details)
  • Structural diagram (drawings that show structures such as pavements and gutters)Road Structure Standard Maps"(City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau) and "Yokohama City Sewerage Design Standard Map (Tube)" (City of Yokohama, Environmental Planning Bureau)
  • Photograph of the current situation (Please attach a distant view and near view that shows the local situation)
  • Copy of road ledger area map or copy of boundary investigation figure such as road waterway (please attach copy of any drawing. A copy of the road ledger area map can be obtained in Public Works Office if the drawing is created.Yokohama no Michi (outside site)You can check it.
