About road self-financing construction

When person except road manager performs construction or maintenance about road, it must receive approval of road manager (Road Law Article 24). The cost required for this construction is to be borne by the person who has been approved (Article 57 of the Road Law), so it is commonly referred to as "own expense construction".

・Relocation or removal of a car stop for vehicle entry into parking lots, etc.
・Relocation of curved mirrors, street trees, etc. (Contact NTT for telegraph poles, Tokyo Electric Power for telephone poles)
・Decrease work for setting up designated roads
・Road maintenance associated with development and residential land development
・Repair and restoration of damaged pavement
・Construction import path (when the sidewalk is cut down and used as a construction vehicle approach road for construction)
・In addition, when making changes to road structures

Please fill in required items in the application form for approval of road construction, etc.) and submit two copies with the following drawings. (Please download the form from the application form.)
If the application form is incomplete (missed or missing attached documents), the application will not be accepted. For drawings that are difficult to attach, please consult with a Public Works Office representative in advance.
It takes a certain number of days from receipt of the application form to approval, so please apply in time according to the construction schedule.
At the time of submission of the application form and the witness of the completion inspection will be held on the Tuesday afternoon of the following week for documents that have been accepted by the morning of every Friday (if Tuesday and Friday is a national holiday, it will be postponed to the next day, etc. For more information, please contact your Public Works Office representative.)

• Guide map (Please attach a copy that does not have any problems with copyright etc.)
• Floor plan (Please show the construction site and construction details so that the entire site can be understood.)
• Vertical cross section (Please create a drawing that shows the slope, height difference, etc. according to the construction content)
