Abbreviation of Izumi Ward
Until the Edo period, Izumi Ward was called Kamakura-gun, Sagami country (partly Koza-gun), and in the Meiji era it was changed to Kamakura-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. Looking back on the history of Izumi Ward about 100 years ago, following the main events:
