It is a temple that has been around for a long time in Sugita. Umebayashi Sugita was widely known as a famous spot for plums during the Edo period. Myoho-ji Temple, which was crowded with visitors at the center of the festival, is also the Bodaiji temple of Nobushige Mamiya, the creator of Bairin. In early spring, more than 50 plum trees, including famous trees and weeping plums, bloom, delighting visitors even today.
